These books are for the Grades 0, R, One, Two and Three, where the Learners are starting to learn Zulu. Zulu is their second or third language.

These themes cover a variety of fun activities. The lessons are developed using the CAPS formula. Zulu grammar is explained.

The high frequency, additional language words are graded and sequenced. The themes cover Zulu as a Second additional language. There are four themes per term with optional extras. Themes offer a variety of fun activities, songs and games.

Shine a light on Zulu is used both by Teachers with no knowledge of Zulu and Zulu Home Language speakers who need guidance when teaching Zulu as an Additional or as a Third Language.

It contains large pictures which may be photocopied and coloured by the Learners. These may be used as puppets for use with the songs or for speaking the suggested dialogues.
